My dad says the heated steering wheel is his #1 all time favorite automobile innovation. Coming from an 80 year old who has seen pretty much all of them, that’s really saying something!

(Also, this is how you know you’re a Midwesterner.)

We NEED to learn how to reach people who are voting against their own interests. We NEED to turn the tide from history repeating.

How they made it I will never know. But as much pain and sorrow and generational trauma as there was, the most terrifying thing is that in many states, this is where we are heading again. No medical care, no social safety net, no education, child labor. 6/

My great grandmother died of peritonitis at 37 leaving behind 4 children ages 9-15. Without relief, great grandpa had no chance. They all went to the orphanage. When these kids came of age (about 16 back then) they took any opportunity they could, working ”kids” wages, sleeping at the workplace. 4/

WWI made many Europeans literally “enemy aliens”, and xenophobia caused opportunities to dry up. Many fled back to Europe. My people headed to Detroit where the auto industry offered a chance despite the classification. Life was hard. There was no chance of home ownership. 3/

In the Depression, only US citizens could get Relief - even as they toiled in America’s new factories. My great grand parents immigrated in the early 1900s separately, met, and had four children. They started in Cleveland, a large immigrant community. 2/

Back home taking care of my dad and taking the opportunity to do some genealogy research and man… it is depressing to see what my forebearers had to do to survive, how young they died, and what they died of. 1/

And while we are at it, let’s beef up whatever department of the IRS that is responsible for enforcing the Johnson Amendment and strip any non-profit engaged in partisan politics of their tax exempt status.

In defense of the future for our children, grandchildren, and for our planet, would like to see 2 new govt departments: a Dept. of Products and Packaging, to ensure we continue to evolve as close to a zero waste nation as possible, and a Dept of Waste Remediation, to remediate our landfills.

As a Florida teacher, I fear for my students current & future. Teaching has been my passion for my whole career (30 years). The Republicans here are slowly dismantling public education, from book bans to altered history/civics to anti-LGBTQ policies.

I am asking for support. Please echo this.

It's hard to overstate the danger to a free society, democracy and truth with Kevin McCarthy handing over 41,000 hours of Jan. 6 footage to Fox's election-denying, pro-Putin propagandist Tucker Carlson. This is a betrayal of American democracy and freedom.

“Not a safe space” because you -can’t- post adult content?!

They aren’t even making sense!!

I have already answered this question multiple times, and asking me the same question differently will not change my answer. Also, there are thousands of LGBTQ+ spouters who would disagree with your statement.

If you need something done ASAP, ask someone over 50. We do everything we think of or are asked to do immediately because we know if we wait even 1 minute it completely evaporates from our brains.
