I don't python often, but when I do it's mostly waiting for pip install to finish.

Is there theoretically a limit on how many chocolate chip cookies you can safely eat as they come out of the oven?

Refactoring and intellisense in current version of VS is so, so brittle. Crashes it when it's not slowing it down for no apparent reason.

One aspect of Windows that occasionally drives me nuts is having lots of apps open on a given monitor, all max (full width/height). Go to click-drag via the top bar annnnd... somehow get an app that wasn't on top. wth.

Trying to get your vitamin C by injecting tangerine juice into your eye isn't super efficient, but is a bit painful so not recommended. "Does this wedge have a seed", I said. "Maybe if I just split it in half by hand I can see"... I was soon not seeing anything.

Was having issues with my wired headset, so tried a wireless one I use for music when walking around that has a removable mic. And... the headphones stopped working as soon as I plugged in the mic. So, not super useful!

Don't think I posted this earlier; randomly used binocs as the lighting was good late-morning and was trying to see if an eagle was on the nest. And... an eagle swooped in and landed on it. So. friggin. cool. Better lucky than good, etc.

It's fun bumping into a weird game bug a couple months later. I get priorities for devs, but also, f-you. Fix your shit.

A bit of ice cream and a little slice of banana bread. Nice late night snack.

Lots of snow over night, very pretty through the morning, but pretty warm through the afternoon so tons of melt. Feels more like a mid-March storm.

Driver (uber, i think? saw a green light on dash) blew through a stop sign and almost ran me over during this evening's run. Head lamp, reflective gear, in crosswalk, to no avail. Fucking asshole.

New binocs arrived and got them setup (strap, focus, etc). Struggle is real to not take afternoon off. Nice balance for weight, light, and mag, so happy initial impression at least.

Knew vaguely that family tree went pretty far back in Quebec, but now learned some names going back to 16th century France. Wild.

Seems like every version of Windows they make it harder to figure out how to tweak simple settings. I get it, you want to replace the control panel dialog UI from 1978, but maybe keep the names and links the same? sheesh.

Finally broke down and ordered a decent pair of birding binoculars. Have 3 pairs, but one is tiny (read: unstable) and the other two I got for stargazing so a bit too bulky (not helped by also being old + cheap, so now falling apart). Went with 10x42 from a friends recommendation.

The "hurry up and wait" project/task is so frustrating. Something is super critical priority and MUST be done, and then... crickets. Glad I shifted things around, sheesh.

Just got my first eagle sightings of the year; turns out the nest in the distance out my kitchen window was a new nesting pair. High up in a tree on a hilltop, most likely with a sweet view of the Hudson.

Still throw on Without a Sound periodically, but never bought anything else from Dinosaur Jr for whatever reason. The new solo J Mascis track came on my feed and had to switch to the full album. Good stuff. Will need to dig into... everything else. Literally 3 decades of music in between.

Ages ago a friend cracked a joke "is your mustache crooked, or is that just your face?" and I swear every time I trim my beard it pops into my brain.

On the one hand, been one of those weeks where I'm confusing which day we're on (minutes after having a weekly meeting that's always on the same day/time). On the other, I think my neighbor got a new puppy. A little bouncy ball of fluff. Awesome.

Apparently today is Email Privacy Updates day for apps/web sites; seems like every hour I'm getting more. Doubt it's a coincidence and probably a legal reason behind the similar timing.

Showing people how it's easy these days using the snip tool (or whatever MS calls it) to grab a screenshot is a double edged sword, as they'll do that instead of copy-pasting text (which I can then copy-paste). But it does beat the full screen prints or Word docs with nothing but a screenshot.

2 starters down with big injuries, so thought I'd try out a reliever with a low inning count for a game (rosters expanded, so not worried about 'pen). 1.1IP 7 runs. Also picked up a journeyman who gave up another 7 over 3.1. Oof. 1916, zero home runs!

Nice, bluescreen. Glad it at least waited until AFTER I got in a semi-complicated production release. But, you know, still annoying.

Put on headphones to blast a song (bad for ears, good for neighbors) and blew my nose. Music stopped. So, that's a newly discovered feature for my fancy headphones.

Visual Studio keeps crashing while trying to accept a merge on a somewhat complicated file. Insanely annoying. It did helpfully tell me to disable an extension that has nothing to do with the code in question or git, so, uh, thanks?
