I don't feel safer when Cooper goes outside to talk to whomever is wandering around our rural home. But I don't feel unsafe either. I enjoy hearing him howl and talk - he's a Black and Tan Coonhound and very vocal. Then he comes back in and returns to sleep. A good companion.
