Nope. Those are just two sides of the same cow patty.

Sure, one side might come with money, but at what cost to your sense of self-worth and the perceived value of your labor?

For a moment, I thought that said spoutine and not spoutline, and I wondered if Spoutible now had its own variety of poutine.

If your show is threaded, maybe you could put the "Sources used for this program" image in your introductory spout, and list the sources in the alt text there, and then you wouldn't need to list them in each spout. If your show isn't threaded, consider making it so.

If you’re linking to a video, and the link takes viewers to the original source, the there’s no need to add attribution.

If you’re uploading a video, then presumably it’s one you created, and any attribution of sources used in the video can and should be included in end credits.

Get creative! Attach an image that contains the words “Quote Attribution” and put the attribution in the alt text, which has a higher character limit. 🙂

Check the Wayback Machine! You may find a record of it there.
Also, always record the required source data when you 1st access a source; once you have the author, pub. date, etc. you can & should always use that info to credit the source even if there’s no longer an active, linkable page/site/post.

It's weird to me, too. If a thing is not my thing, my usual reaction is, "Hey, I don't get it, but I'm happy if it makes you happy," and if I see something relevant to that person's interest, I'll even pass it on, because it sure as hell doesn't hurt me to help other people find reasons to smile.

Ooh, I highly recommend it! It is SO GOOD. But I understand headcanon. If it helps, think of it as a parallel universe version?

Neil Gaiman was showrunner on it & Michael Sheen (Aziraphale) is literally One Of Us: He read Good Omens when it was first published & is a huge fan.

It's a work of love.

Seriously, just dive in and have fun!

There is no perfect day to start.
There is no perfect idea to have.
There is no perfect plot to develop.

There is only you, and a word count goal, and a willingness to see where it goes.

A place where people can find others with whom they have things in common and can rely on each other in times of trouble even if they have things they disagree on.

A group that works together for a common good even if they don’t always/often hang together in pursuit of fun.

Look at the timeline. The flurry of activity on previous spouts likely occurred on lunch breaks that had just ended for many. That's just bad timing.

You're making hateful assumptions where logical, non-hate-filled explanations exist.

You can be angry, but don't twist my words for pointing it out.

Or people haven’t been online much today and haven’t seen it yet. I only just did.

It’s Halloween & between work & family obligations, today has no doubt been too busy offline for many people to let them spend as much time as usual online.

Doesn’t mean they don’t care. Just that they’re not here.

Pretty sure neurodivergent was the reason I was bullied, too.

Being built like a twig with severe anxiety didn't help. I hardly seemed like a threat to anyone who considered targeting me.

I appreciate that. ♥️ As a child, I would have been too scared to stand up for anyone.

But the adult I am now? Absolutely would fight for you, too, no hesitation.

It took years and a lot of work, but I vowed to become the person I and others like me needed when I was young. And I am.

I was bullied from K-12 & confronting them wasn't an option because of severe anxiety. And I know that ignoring doesn't always work. It did for most of my bullies. It didn't for the ones who assaulted me in the locker rooms after gym class, with aerosol hairspray lit like a blowtorch.

My dreams are sadly much bigger than my bank account 😭, but every one of those dreams is inclusive & accessible (and seeks input from affected parties!) because that’s the kind of world I want to live in, and if I can’t fix all of it, then by gods, I will make the parts of it I *can* affect better.

I am saving up for the money to build my little artists’ retreat, but it’s slow going. If I ever get there, it will have a bunch of little cabins for quiet art/reading/introvert time & a big clubhouse for shared meals & hangouts & collaboration & bonfires—all ACCESSIBLE—and all y’all are invited. ♥️

Sending you love and support. This affects so many people I know, and it is heartbreaking. Just know that you’re not alone. There are so many of us out here that have your back. And if you need a moment of respite or space to vent, my door is always open & my [beverage of choice] cabinet stocked.

It’s getting closer to deletion for me, but so much of the TTRPG streaming/small biz community’s livelihood depended on the followers they accumulated on Twitter, so their migration elsewhere has been slow as they try to figure out how to stay afloat. I’m trying to nudge them toward here.

My gas bill comes with a monthly fee of $15 just for HAVING THE GAS CONNECTED.

Doesn’t matter if I use zero gas all month (unlikely, but I suppose it could happen if I were doing extended travel for some reason), I get charged $15.
