I'm putting off discussion of surgery on my right hip/knee until after the election. Weight loss, diet, gym, rudimentary yoga are reducing pain it seems. It still won't bring back the missing cartilage, but hopefully that becomes a story for another day.

There's 'damage', and then there's Damage. The line between the two can be as thin as a slice of bologna. Hang in there!

Never say never. Though we may have to adopt more of an original series Miami Vice look. I get sweaty in tweed on an average day 👍️

Have you ever watched Wheeler Dealers on Motor Trend channel? I love that show so much, and I can barely change oil.

If I had your Jag I would definitely be dressing like Inspector Morse 🙂

Almost has that new car smell. Especially if the windows have been up and it's been sitting in the sun. If I didn't maintain it properly the parent's ghosts would be surely raising issue 🙂

There are more dead bodies on that road as well. But that just seems to be an accepted sunk cost in so many places in our changing world nowadays. I never want that to turn me into something I shouldn't be.

The name still evokes California, beach, sunsets, easy living. Such nostalgia is a huge component of who I am, while also knowing such nostalgia may have passed into the sunset itself.

I have neighbors who are Haitian. We have talked a bit about the recent events and crisis. They are of the mindset that Haiti at this point, after so many half-hearted external interventions, will need to drive the solution itself. They do think Jimmy Chérizier will form the new government.

I inherited a 2012. Just turned 68k miles. I prefer the body styling of my model year to the current generation. Probably a personal bias.

I peruse the web page of the local humane society a couple times a month. It's painful, but it's important to bear witness to all that goes on around us. I'm drawn to the older cats.

He gets a haircut next Tuesday and will like me much less after that. For a little while. His winter coat is massive and yesterday was the first honestly humid day in the 80's.

From a shelter, and they weren't able to give much in the way of back story. He's mostly stubborn while being quite loving. When I put him down, he'll rub against my legs and give head butts. Another old man not unlike myself.

This calls to mind a remembered dorm room smell from our clothes after a night downtown for a bar crawl. None of us in the quad smoked. After all these years.

I've got one up on Dave. I can only really hurt myself, as the cats have their own evacuation plan. Possibly insurance as well. They keep their finances separate.

During the winter months now in the Hudson Valley I can be out in shorts as long as my upper body is covered. It makes for an interesting visual spectacle. We used to have first frost in late September. The ticks don't die off anymore. Mosquitoes in every month.
