There was a plip, plip, sound outside the window. It has been raining & the water had decided to #drip off the roof & onto the deck. It was surprisingly noisy as each drop of water landed. Plip! And the water sprayed in a little circle before running away. She watched this for a while.

I followed the drip-dripping sound to the bathroom. A towel was draped over the end of a massive claw-foot tub. Water dribbled from the #tap & I moved to twist it off. The tub was full, water still warm, crimson petals floating on its surface. The only thing missing was the bather.

#Tap tap tap. I found it & stayed hidden. As quietly as I could, I changed position to get the best view. Waiting for the most opportune moment, I carefully aimed, then shot. In the blink of an eye, it disappeared, but I knew I had captured it. Best red headed woodpecker photo ever. #Spoutories
