It IS a HUGE number but to those that aren't covid conscious it isn't huge, or they believe a person's 'weak' immune system is responsible for their ☠. Anything but Covid. Smart/sane ppl think like way now so I believe it's a combo of trauma, misinformation, and distrust of govt that's responsible.

10-30% of LC sufferers isn't a large enough number for people, just like 1 million+ dead Americans isn't enough to continue mitigation efforts.
When I hear ppl dying of ❤ attacks, strokes, or pulmonary embolisms in their 30s, 40s + 50s, I think it's b/c of LC but no 1 else 👀s the connection.

Biden admin tried to assign a person to tackle disinformation. The GOP called it 'Orwelian'. The issue is that Republicans and those (formerly) on the left who fell victim to disinformation believe wholeheartedly they're being lied to; that ONLY the info they consume is true. idk how to combat this.

I've spent the the better part of 7 years trying to help people identify disinformation but once a theory takes hold, there is nothing you can do to change their minds.

I lost a friend to this type of radicalization via wellness. Between Covid and today she became anti vaxx, anti trans and very pro right-wing. I begged her to get off these sites. I provided links to facts, but in the end she chose to end our friendship b/c I refused to coddle her + see her side.

It has been so difficult to put into words what it feels like to fall in love with your craft. Marcus captured that feeling so perfectly in Copenhagen that I asked my partner to watch those scenes if he won't watch.
