I feel silly. I’ve always thought “The Enchanted April” was only a play, aside from the movie (I could give it another chance, but I thought the movie was bland). Fortunately, this popped up as a free listen w/ #Audible subscription.

Book 130 was Murder and Mamon by Mia P. Manansala. (I finished the reread first.) I feel pretty confident that the author dreams of opening a restaurant. There's just so much food in the book. I really enjoy the series, but it's starting to bother me. I may have to try mamon, though. #amreading

The theme for my September/Early October reading is Magical/Mysterious school stories, because Spooky back to school fun. One of my faves I usually read at this time, but I read them in January when a new one came out. Is it weird to reread now? I have an itch. #amreading #spoutiblereads

#IHaveNever read a Stephen King book. Am too squeamish for the horror/thriller genre. 🙈

Book 128 was Cooking and Dining in Imperial Rome, a translation of Apicius, the oldest known cookbook. I hesitate to include it in my count as (1) it's a cookbook and (2) I stopped really reading the recipes halfway through. But the translator commentary is hilarious. #amreading

Book 127 was Saint Death's Daughter by CSE Cooney. Like Gideon the Ninth but softer and warmer. It was excellent. This is the third humorous-ish story about necromancers I've read this year. Also the first of a series, but it's not a cliffhanger ending, thankfully. #amreading

Might I recommend some Brandon Sanderson? 😁 I am a dribbling fan, so you can disregard the suggestion.

My book confession: I can’t read the likes of Stephen King. Am too squeamish.
