The Vintgar Gorge is a section of the Radovna Valley, a few km from Bled in Slovenia. An enchanting walk use various wooden bridges and walkways to explore this wonderful river where the scene changes at every turn and the water alternates from clear and calm to white rapids and falls.

We've had way too much water the last few days, but in normal times #slovenia is blessed with spectacularly beautiful lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. A reminder of how it usually looks. This is Ukanc at the western end of Lake Bohinj

Much of my adopted home of Slovenia has suffered dreadful flooding in the last few days. Estimates so far suggest half a billion euros of damage and many people evacuated from ruined homes. Our thanks to our European neighbours for all their help and support.

I'll never understand why it's so hard for folks just to answer 'yes', I mean I do but will never agree with it! If they don't like 'yes' there's always other words, as in Black lives are essential, irreplaceable, valued, treasured, respected, etc. Skip me on that 'all lives matter' rhetoric
