There are bunny tracks out front in the small bit of snow we got overnight. I wish my husband were here to share this with (we love having the bunnies in the neighborhood).

Got out of bed at 9am. Back in bed at 7pm. Mostly on the couch in between. We'll be getting out of the house for dinner tomorrow. Trying to fight the depression part of the grief hard for my kid's sake, but depression hits me hard with small things as is sometimes. I feel walloped.

Had coffee today for the first time since my husband's surgery gone wrong. Only managed a kiddie sized cup. I'm not sure I want to drink it anymore, but the 6 bottles he bought for our usual 1 wk supply are all sitting there, like it's waiting for our life to return to the normal that isn't coming.

We've set the date for the burial service. Now trying to get things I need to prepare for it square. So many logistics at such a vulnerable time. When do I get space to just grieve? Thank you to all the spouties who sent love and resources. I've bookmarked many to look at when I have the spoons to.

My heart is broken today. I lost my husband unexpectedly this week after complications from a medical procedure. We are in our mid-40s and have a young teen son. Are there other spouties here who have gone through a similar thing at a similar age? Am looking for advice and support in a way forward,

While trying to fold the laundry I also managed to (in no order)
- clean up the table a bit
- find my butterfly necklace
- clean out the box the necklace was in
- reorganize some of the bathroom shelves
- realize we don't have backup boxes of tissues and added them to the grocery list

Kid said they're probably getting an F in science because of stuff they forgot (story then changed to they DIDN'T forget but lost the papers). This has been a pattern because they refuse to write down assignments. I'm now requiring they write things down and I will be checking the book daily

Been so busy lately and bad about social media-ing. I just finished lesson 15 of Genki, and I need to find some good courses on python and/or MySQL. Coming weeks will be hectic getting ready for the holidays.

Is this really an issue? Am I just severely antisocial? I might send a few one on one texts a day (mostly my husband, kid, brother, or mom), and am part of maybe 2 group chats - a work one and one with my neighbors...almost never used.
