The little lizards who live in the garden will scramble on top of the netting. After a #tense standoff where small lizard saw big human approach and hold that rectangular thing in her hand, human got a little too close and so lizard scampered away. #DailyPictureTheme

Section 1 pathway done. 🤞🏻it lasts. I didn’t have enough of the mini patio mix I purchased, so I used some quickcrete as a layer bw the sand and the patio mix.
And now it cures under plastic for a while.

Poppies edging a whole lotta clarkia in my #CaliforniaWildflower patch
The new clarkia blossom is tucked amid the green at topish-left. You can see alll the green here is primarily clarkia so there will be lotsa pink blossoms!

Ladybug on arugula #gardening
Aphids showed up on my lettuce and greens garden. Boo. Ladybugs eat aphids. So I bought a cup of live ladybugs and set em loose in there. My greens patch is netted so instead of flying away immediately, ladybugs creep out and find the arugula nearby.

A family member will prolly be receiving a blood marrow transplant

I had previously photographed an annular and partial solar eclipse, so I had an assortment of neutral density filters. I used them to make a solar optical filter for use with a new 200-600mm lens - that would be my primary camera.
