OMG I am so glad you posted this. There’s a hive in the base of a tree in the front and we get bees that kinda crawl around on the front walkway, some bees that just die there. This explains it all.

What I did is lay down some cardboard and leftover bits of soil from here n there, some mulch, some seeds, some straw, and watered it.
The sun moving north in late-winter-to-early-spring, rains, Mother Earth & millennia of plant evolution did most of it.

I have used 2 hashtags for this garden. #CaliforniaWildflowers (generally the more recent images) #CaliforniaWildflower (singular) on the older ones. I sowed this flower bed in mid-November and oh, 5 months later it’s glorious!!!!

On iPhone I take a Live Photo
Then bring it into an app called LP, convert to gif. There are a few settings there for file size limits/frame rate.
If I need to refine further by downsizing or cropping I use QuickGifEditor
Can also use Giphy in a pinch but it doesn’t give you choices Re size, &c

I created/curated several twitter lists that I often refer to.
"Bobby Three Sticks" (a mueller refnc) on Legal proceedings got a lotta scroll this week. "The bird" a collection of voices that available only there.
Lists help it suck less. Too much scrolling this week tho overall.

I did settings so long ago I forgot that I had. But yes, it turns out I filter news by category.
Huh.
Maybe, as experiment, I should enable only 1 category for a day and see what the stream looks like. In 8 days I'll have more of a clue. Also: I only occasionally check news feed so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
