I finished reading Kim Harrison's THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UNDEAD. My sister recommended this series, and the second book raised the stakes properly (because vampires, hehehe). Now I'm hooked. Up next, I'm kicking off Horror MAYhem a little early with Robert McCammon's STINGER. #books

I finished C.J. Box’s SAVAGE RUN. I liked it as much as the first one, so that means I’m going to work my way through the entire Joe Pickett series. With that detour out of the way, I started listening to Tolkien’s THE RETURN OF THE KING. #books

I read the Louis L’Amour short story “The Outlaws of Poplar Creek.” So far it’s my least favorite of his stories about Texas Ranger Chick Bowdrie. It reads more like an early draft before he adds things like detail or characterization or even story. Total misfire for me. #books

Listening to THE TWO TOWERS. I wondered if, for purposes of my annual reading goal, I should count the volumes as three books or just one as THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Tolkien would say it’s one book. Then I realized I had to buy them individually so that’s how I’m going to count them. #books

Fallout 4 downloaded while I was at work yesterday, but it crashed repeatedly at the title screen. It turns out one of the DLC packs has a bug, so I had to delete the entire thing and download it all over again last night. I had time to play through the character creation prologue today.
