I thought #Spoutible folks would enjoy this. I think @cbouzy is planning to fill these gaps as well

Is the Threads "user base" just every Instagram account?

Thanks for sharing! I think 2 of the 3 in red are on the product roadmap - thought I saw that…

Spaces equivalent on Spoutible will be a game changer too.

I think lists will be a game changer. That's the only thing that keeps me from totally cutting the bird app. The only downside is that if someone you have on a list goes private, you lose access (if you don't follow them as well). Very aggravating as accounts on lists are often more important to me.

Being able to search multiple splash tags would be nice. But I'm not picky.

I know several people who are waiting on the iOS app. I think that’s super close. 🤞

An important thing mentioned in the Threads sign up info was the plan to create social media interoperability & portability. I like that idea. It’s the idea that you can post on one platform & friends on other platforms can see it. It would work like phones.

Yep. Threads and Mastodon could at some point be interoperable via ActivityPub.

This is what Jack meant when he said Twitter should exist as a protocol. Then he took that vision to Bluesky.

I did not. It's ideological leanings make it kind of like Truth Social for the left, and thus unlikely to really be a competitor. It's also why I didn't rate Truth Social either.

Doesn’t list ability to mute words, which is my main issue with Spoutible (and one of the few things that still works on Twitter). Pretty please. #featurerequest

Interesting. Also some of the safety features (turn off replies, blocking, muting, etc. ) are where Spoutible and Mastodon shine, IMHO

Interesting that Mute isn't looked at. Spoutible is missing that (read: I miss it).

Haven't used any of the others, but I think "good" is doing a lot of work on the moderation line. Spoutible moderation is beyond excellent.

Good by comparison to Twitter. I've seen complaints about moderation other places, but I also have seen very little evidence of offensive or hateful conduct on those other sites either, and their stated rules are strong.

Twitter threads excellent? In what world does Twitter get that score when you have to manually number every tweet in the thread?

Also pretty sure moderation here is better than Threads and Bluesky but I don’t know since I’m not there
