Here is what you can expect from Spoutible in the near future.
1. The iOS app will be released soon. Yes, I know I keep saying that, but the release was delayed because we had to fix an overheating bug. The bug is fixed, and now we are waiting.

2. Greatly improved search. Searching content will be significantly faster and more granular.
3. Interest-based filters and connections. The surge of teens joining Spoutible made us realize we must give our users more control over what they want to see. We also want to help users connect more.

4. Custom interest-based timelines. It will be similar to lists, but we are taking it further. You will be able to add accounts to your custom timelines manually or have Spoutible automatically add accounts based on what they spout. So, for example, you can have a news timeline and a gamer timeline.

5. The one thing that is missing from all of the Twitter alternatives is a Twitter Spaces equivalent. Once we are finished revamping our front end, we will launch Spoutible Pods, which is our answer to Spaces. Pods will be audio and video, with unique features not available elsewhere.

Along the way, we will improve and tweak our current features. Anyone who joined in February knows the platform today isn't the same platform we launched just five months ago. We have come a long way in five short months, and we are just getting started.

I forgot to mention we are also experimenting with machine learning / AI to help our users find content. For example, you will be able to type into search, "Find accounts interested in cooking," and Spoutible will recommend accounts that are interested in cooking.

Thank you for all of your hard work and vision @cbouzy !! This has felt like and continues to feel like the best decision in a long time!!! Thank you!!

I can't say enough good things about the difference between Spoutible on Safari now, vs a week or so ago before you fixed that bug. I used to kick myself if I forgot to close out the page when I locked my phone. Don't have that problem any more.

all of this is good news but please, the repetition of spouts on our TL on PC is really not user friendly, and it's still there

Did you use the Hide Echoes toggle?
I've not used it myself, but I've heard from others that it is helpful.

Looking forward to the IOS app… Will you be adding more notification options? i.e. get notified when a specific person you follow makes a post…

I CANNOT WAIT!!!! I’m so excited. I was there on the first day of Spoutible, so this is SWEET!!! ❤️💕❤️

Hey, will there be an update to show Spouts from accounts that you don't follow but may be interested in seeing? How Twitter has the 'For You' timeline and a 'Following' timeline.

Check out the Explore area. It is the compass icon. That is spouts from everybody.

iOS is what I’m waiting for. Switched to iPhone right before you started developing #Spoutible jumped in as soon as you opened. But I need an app exp vs. web based. I barely use my pc or laptop anymore😒

The stampede to Threads this week may have stolen your thunder, but this is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep going; we all know what happened with Facebook and the 2016 election. Zuck is not to be trusted.
10:24 AM - Jul 09, 2023
In response to Kathy Cook.
@cbouzy I think the gate keepers want us to stay with Zuck because he plays ball with to spread propaganda. Don't pay attention to Meta. They are way ahead of everyone. I think comparing to Mastodon/Post and where Twitter was during their first year is healthier. Just a thought.

I have kept my fb profile for 1 reason and 1 reason only: Old cxns that live far away. Even then, I lurk. I fucking HATE fb and Zuck is an opportunist who thinks nothing of undermining democracy. No Threads for me. Lest he makes one for me. He's capable, that asshole.

I'm really excited for these! Something I'd really like to see is a condensed "notifications" tab, so that to find the occasional reply I don't have to scroll through all the likes - I don't want to turn off likes entirely, since lack of likes is a good gauge of whether I just said something stupid.
10:18 AM - Jul 09, 2023
In response to Heather Hughson.
I second this request. Would love to see replies separated from likes/echoes so we don't have to scroll through all those to find them. Either as a separate tab or combined with quote spouts.

I threw a bit of shade at you recently on that, I regret it
I now realize how hard this stuff really is.
I left the spout up and took my kicks for it.. carry on Sir, you are doing an admiral thing
