Also, a suggested modification for Threads: When I copy (or cut) a bunch to text to make a Thread, when I paste it into the first spout all the text goes in that first spout (most is red). Then when I cut the excess and paste it into the next spout, Threads work. ???????

Feature Request: Ability to receive notifications when favorite accounts post. I love the chronological timeline and want it to stay. But I also want to know when certain accounts spout. Unless I visit their profile directly, I am missing far too many of their posts.

It may need time (and resources I don't know) but would love a translate button. It's what I love about some other groups I'm in - I want to follow more across the globe, but my French and Spanish are very elementary :) Thx for sharing this list!

Yep. I would also love a translate button… helps me to not just read posts in other languages (which is especially good for international news posts) but also helps me learn languages.

For me, the most important thing would be 11.
Then it's 1, 2, 6, 9, 10, 15 in no specific order.

I'll add: clicking on a profile in a spout should take me to the profile, not the spout. I've seen the spout by that point. cc @cbouzy

#1 is my main issue that would improve things, plus a neverending feed, where it doesn't crap out on continuing the feed. If that got fixed I'd likely never switch to something else.

Great list, Mark! Thank you for putting together. When I scroll down the TL shifts to the right and obscures the Like and Echo button. If I tap on a specific post they might be visible/available but, again, if the thread is long it shifts right. It discourages engagement. Common issue or OE?

Hi @puckarama ! Yes this is a common issue and I think they're aware and are working on a fix. It's certainly something tat has been raised a few times at #BugReports

This may be a #bugreport than a #featurerequest Trying "Search" for "People" & typing @username is not working for 1st wavers like me who used only their 1st name as their userID but use their full name as the display name. @username searches inside the platform should have exact match priority. TY.

Big yes on 8 (Lists), 9 (who's not fb), 5 (only 1 echo), 1 (back button back to previous pt) and 7 (font size). Regarding #12 , it is possible to search for terms by choosing "Spouts" not "Hashtags" or "People." That search appears to be quite powerful for locating any spouts containing a particular

You might not need to increase the text limit (300 characters) if you don't count the characters in a URL.

#featurerequest or perhaps just tutorial, as maybe this exists already as a buried setting, but the option to see replies as part of the timeline as well as spouts. I see in one's profile there's the option to see one or the other, not both.

I'd also like to request ITALICS, so we don't have to do all caps for emphasis. And it bothers me that when I heart a post, it jumps to the whole thread. It interrupts the scroll flow. I'd like to just heart it and have that be the whole action.

A #featurerequest is something I discovered at Mastodon that really opened up my timeline:
the ability to follow a hashtag, not just accounts.
I connected to many different people who enjoy #naturephotography , for example, by following that hashtag.
