As discussed in the video, the witness tampering statute also includes obstruction of an official proceeding, so that's the likely charge (could be both I think, Trump also witness tampers).

The deprivation of civil rights charge is an interesting and more surprising one, and discussed in depth.

Its an old charge that was used against the KKK, and in cases where people were prevented from voting.

Smith could be planning to indict Trump for violating Pence/Congress's civil rights on Jan. 6th-or to indict him for violating the entire American people/electorate's civil rights.
