New polling. We can’t even agree on whether it’s “unusually hot”. Climate change is a national security issue - and so is delusion:

We had hospitals full of sick and dying people and they denied a pandemic. There's video of the guy saying he grabs them by the p****y and they don't believe it. He was found guilty of sexual harassment and they don't believe it. You think a little heat wave is going to wisen them up?

Is CBS planning on following this up with actual weather statistics? Just asking if it seems hotter is not a revealing question - the temperature in my area has been cooler, which is atypical, and equally concerning.

But we do live in different places. The phrasing of the question and politically uneven demographic distribution of the population skews results.

Yes, my stepmother was hit hard by Hurricane Ian. She was decrying how many people are moving out of Florida and real estate values dropping. I mentioned concerns about climate change, and she immediately jumped in with “There have always been fluctuations in climate, this is nothing new.” it was re

I think the key words are "in your area". We are in the midst of a climate emergency, and this year has felt like a tipping point.

However, ~in my area~, it has been an unusually mild summer so far. The California central valley is another story altogether.

IN NE PA, it has been on the cooler side this summer season, this week in the 70's, i don't know why we ask opinions for when there is actual data available regarding temperature.

Climate change is very real. It may not affect every area in the same way. Look at the ocean temp in FL, it gas reached 100* in some areas, bleaching the reefs and killing the marine life. Storms are stronger than before, Wildfires are more ravenous...

Poll results likely due to age demographics and ideology. Have to note that life other than human life, such as wildlife-land and sea-domesticated animals, vegetation, etc. IS affected by climate changes. Our hubris is our peril.

I’m in southern Indiana and it doesn’t feel unusually hot here. It’s been 85-92 lately. Some days around 97, but that’s not overly hot for here. If it’s been hotter, I didn’t notice. That doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s happening elsewhere or that I don’t believe in climate change.

I keep being amazed at the number of places across the globe that are reaching death valley like temps. When were temps in the 120s normal for most of these places?
