The great part about Spoutible is you can block anyone for any reason. I don't owe anyone an explanation for why I blocked them. I am not interested in reading replies about a policy that was decided by the community. If folks want adult content, there are other platforms for that.

Thank you. The Xhaos site is ruined with graphic porn posts that show up in my For You page. Blocking them all becomes tiresome. It grinds my gears there are people who have the audacity to tell you how to run this platform or who you should/shouldn't block. Grow up people.

I haven’t seen anyone else say this so I’ll mention it-to the blocked it’s one ‘harmless’ comment either ignoring/not realizing you are inundated with ALL these/other types of comments. It’s only been a month. For now maybe ask any ?s and while waiting for an answer, apply precautionary principles.

I don’t care either way about the policy but I think the issue is that “the community” decided on it when it was microscopic and self-selected. The community has changed dramatic since then and I don’t see why a few early adopters get to decide policy for everyone else.

Consent applies here. Just like unsolicited d*ck pics. I personally don't care if sex workers advertise here or link to another page. But I don't think the average user wants graphic content just popping up without their consent.

2/2 -- You make the final decisions. You determine what YOU deem appropriate for this site. In the same way that other businesses set their standards and practices, Spoutible can and should do the same. If people find that too restrictive, there are other alternatives.

some of us are here because we specifically have had enough dick pics and ejaculation videos to last us a lifetime and we do not want that in our space. there isn't anything wrong with a site that limits this. thanks for hearing us @cbouzy .

I agree wholeheartedly with the - no, YOUR --policy. In as much as you have offered users an opportunity to share ideas about Spoutible, ultimately Spoutible is yours. It is your name, reputation and business on the line here. If there is liability, you are the person held accountable. 1/x

Opinin: you should totally be able to block whomever you like, and Spoutible news and updates would be best served by an official account that cannot block people so that folks whose content you don't like can still be informed.

Correction: @spoutible exists for that purpose. My bad.

Someone made comments on my spout then blocked. Then unblocked me to make more comments. If you’re so fragile and can’t handle truth stay on your own spouts.

I would like access to at least her profile to block.

It is a complicated topic.

There is a difference though between *conducting* business on a platform, and *discussing* business. There can, and should, be thoughtful discussion on adult-themed topics, informed by thoughtful perspectives.

A bikini selfie is probably not needed for that, but discussion of #SexWorkIsWork may b

A recommendation, if I may:
A separate account for site updates and policy so you are not bombarded on your personal account with horny grinches and the like, and so it has a more transparent and equitable feel to all involved.

I would strongly support that.

@cbouzy should be able to block whoever he wants for whatever reason but then there should be a seperate account for platform announcements and updates so that users who are blocked from reading his personal account still have access to official platform information

This might get me blocked too but, as a private entity anyone has the right to block anyone for any reason they want.
To me it's not so clearcut if you're the creator/owner of the site.

Unless I missed it it would be nice to have a mute feature like Twitter. Sure blocking is fine but sometimes you just want to not see them as they yell into the void.
