Judge Chutkan was brilliant in crafting penalty for Trump if he disregards protective order or otherwise threatens the jury pool, witnesses or prosecutors. She said she would move trial date up to protect those Trump targets if he violates rules. Way better than a fine or jailing him for contempt.

I'd still have preferred jail, but this is good too. Trump's strategy, such as it is, seems to be to stall endlessly until he or a lackey can get into the White House, shut investigations down, and pardon him.

Speeding up the trial is a likely to be as effective a threat as anything.
