Only in a country that’s not irrevocably broken 🤦🏻‍♀️ Shoulda, coulda, woulda, or oughta is no longer applicable in the US. No one is holding any of them accountable 🫤🤷🏻‍♀️

Openly advocating for secession is treason and sedition.

Well.. not prison, but it should definitely be disqualifying for being a Congressional Representative sitting on The Homeland Security Committee.

Can MAGAti Traitor Greene swear to uphold the Constitution?
AND
Suggest the country be divided?
AND
Still hold office?

Isn't it? Seems like it is. Or should be. MTG should be ousted from power.

She doesn't care about her constituents. Many rely on federal programs like Medicaid and food stamps. And yet they continue to support her.

These imbeciles, like those in the Confederacy believe a civil war would be a cake walk! But the truth is, there would be blood and death, plenty of it on BOTH sides, and MANY would be burying friends and loved ones!

Agreed. But you know the bar for what's considered to be incurrectionist--for the GQP--is high enough that only a pole-vaulter can get over it, right?

I honestly don't understand why being convicted of a felony isn't a barrier to running for a public office? I could understand a time limit on it, say it has to be within the last 10 years or so but, really?

Same reason immunity exists, I think: to prevent the government of the day from fabricating charges or manipulating the penal code in order to remove opponents or prevent them from running. Notionally, power is granted by The People(TM) and if they are happy to elect a convict, it's their choice.

It's a lot to ask (but so is defending Democracy, People's Rights, etc.) but, if everyone would start sending letters and emails to the Spaeker, cc: Minority Leader, this could be enough to get attention.

Remember the activism of the 60's? Letters. Paper!
