Coders should be able copyright the code used to develop any 𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 creation designed with that code. It is a human who is writing the code and the code is made up of a series of words which should protected. Use of the code should require
some compensation for its use by others

Sure. You can copyright the *code*. But if the code creates a plagiarism machine, you can’t copyright the product.

If you invent a better kind of crowbar, you get to keep the patent. If you use that crowbar to rob a bank, you don’t get to keep the money.
