I consider Lakatos’ criticisms of Popperian theory testing, and conclude the Popper’s approach may have accentuated the sense of a replication “crisis.”

Loved the article. The questions of replication and causation in science is used by #BigOil to muddy the water around #climatechange . With complex models, predictive outcomes are more difficult, so the messaging is that since specific predictions might sometimes fail, they can be absolved.
