My mild Friday confession: I think if you're annoyed that your non-problematic parents call you a few times a week just to catch up and talk about life, you should probably keep that to yourself. Some of us would give anything to have that problem. Free advice, said with love.

Lost both of my parents in my 40’s. I think of them everyday- especially around the holidays. It is still hard.😞

My parents were older. And I think they were more attuned to their own mortality.

My sister and I were trained well.

There is no doubt in our minds that the last words we heard from -or said to -our parents was “I love you”.

And I desperately wish they were here.

30 years later and I still cry over not having the chance to say goodbye to my mom.

Kind advice…
I still speak with my parents even though they have passed…while our relationship was difficult…we can only walk the path we are on and gain clarity as we grow…
They will gain their clarity in their own way and in their own time..
