If you have federal student loans and haven't applied for Biden's SAVE plan, consider doing so. Note the amount of my new payment under this plan...

Speaking of Splashback, here is one of yours from last September that just appeared as Splashback on my TL…

Hope you paid off your student loan already

Ha, good timing!

I'm nowhere close to paying it off, but since I only have to pay $10/month – and the interest is no longer accumulating – it doesn't bother me...

I am so glad this is helping others!

Sadly, when I filled out the form, it gave me a payment $30/month higher than what I currently pay on the extended plan I signed up for years ago, and while it would save me ~ $3k in interest to pay it off faster, it resulted in $0 forgiveness.

That's wonderful. Mine are in an IBR. The interest is ridiculous. 💜♾️

If you qualify for the SAVE plan, it freezes the interest so that it stops compounding.

Glad it's helping you. My husband is in the program to have his forgiven after so many payments while working in public service.

It really should! It's all income based, so even if payments aren't that low (or $0 as they are for many) it should reduce most people's bills significantly.
