The first screenshot is the 7-day traffic data for Spoutible, and the second screenshot is the number of times our adult nudity & sexual content policy was viewed. All this "outrage," and most people didn't even bother reading it.

Didn’t read it because whatever it says, I’m good with it. I didn’t come her for porn.

And an important thing is to not let the “outrage” take down the larger efforts.

Folks can download ColibriSM and launch their own version if they don’t like @Spoutible

There are tons of things important to some people and unimportant to others. It’s distressing to me how you are handling this; continuing to fan flames and pit people against each other. Leading a platform like this is going to necessitate hearing criticism; hope the ability to be open improves

I'm one of those who haven't visited the adult nudity and sexual content rules, because they were explained over and over in full view, and since I don't plan on posting adult content I wasn't really worried.

Like you I didn't read it either, it was a non issue for me. However it's not rocket science to understand what Christopher clearly explained repeatedly, even before launch. The rabble rousers had an agenda. Using this subject was how they tried sabotage this platform. They failed.......miserably.

On a tangential note: time-of-day engagement would be interesting to look at and might show that most *real people* have jobs--and lives.

As a *real person* with a very real job, I can confidently say most of us visit social media frequently during work hours. I'm working right now, two screens, SM up on the small screen, spreadsheets up on the large screen, Alt-Tab to other screens I need. Multitasking! 😎

Knowing how much content from both physics & porn was leveraged in the early days of local area networks then the internet, I'm amused by the whole kerfuffle.

A land grab of sorts organized early in LANs around explicit content. It helped people, men in particular, seize control of digital space

How ad serving is rolled out on this site could be impactful.

Ads I'm served on the internet make me feel bad. I'm bombarded with ad content designed to shock, insult, + degrade. Elsewhere, the constant agism + fat shaming are simply out of control. Ads troll outright lies.

Can we do better here?

I think it is normal for us to assign more weight to negative responses and feedback than it warrants. I also think it is normal for upset people to be far more vocal. The policy is reasonable and you have been too.

Yeah, I'm hoping this is so common all over, that when/if a suit is needed, it'll be clear that click is not true consent, as NO ONE reads them & you have to agree to get the service or product or whatever. The fine print is ridiculous these days, everywhere... But here 🐳 that is😉 Here it's clear!

Not surprised at all. Folks never brought up TOS before - Apple, Amazon, FB none of those were scrutinized like here. It was a distraction and evil IMO

A coordinated troll attack by a small group to provide the public with disinformation! You are a threat that can identify their online chaos forums.

Of course not! These people just wanted their asses kissed. When that didn't happen AND they couldn't manufacture a mob to come after you in any substantive sense, they just took their toys and left. Cishet women who were LUGs (lesbians until graduation) are not really queer.

No one goes to a site specifically designed for sexual content and complain they feel discriminated against because there's not enough non-sexual content to suit there preferred consumption.
