I can’t get over the sheer range of her output. For years growing up I assumed everything she did was on the same mellow ‘Baby Just Cares for Me’ trip. When I finally heard ‘Funkier Than a Mosquito’s Tweeter’ it just blew me away! 🖤

I was lucky enough to see/hear Nina Simone in concert once. It was at a winery in Saratoga, CA a couple decades ago. I don't have a favorite song, but want to add that she was very funny as well as magnificent.
