I remember that day. I remember Harvey and Mayor Moscone, and I remember Dianne Feinstein and her heroism.

That was only the beginning. Her early and unflagging support of the LGBTQ+ community set her apart. I'll miss her and her humanity in the Senate.

May Dianne's memory be for a blessing. ❤️

I am a constituent & wrote Dianne Feinstein several times years ago to plead for people like me who receive blood plasma products by IV to be allowed treatment by home health. It was experimental but better for patient care. Her replies were memorable as were her votes & her voice. #diannefeinstein

Growing up in Canada, I didn't know the names of many US politicians other than the President. But in my house we were taught the names Shirley Chisholm and Diane Feinstein.
She was a trailblazer. She went places that people weren't used to having women in and made them her own. May she RIP 💛💔

We were in SanFrancisco two weeks ago and went on a tour of the city. Stopped at SF City Hall and heard the story of Harvey Milk’s assassination. Our guide left out this important piece of history. Thanks for enlightening me.

I’m old enough to remember that. She was a good Democrat. A little more conservative than you would expect for California. She was ethical, believed in Democracy and civility.

I know she was 90. I know she was so sick. But I am really sad this morning about this news. 💔

Me too.

She was a consequential leader with a significant impact on our world, and a compassionate heart.

Remind? I didn't even know that. I knew Harvey Milk was a trailblazer, but I didn't know that about Difi.

Her announcement of the assassinations - somehow holding it together at that horrific time - is one of my earliest political memories (I was 11 at the time). One of the best ideas Lance Black had for "Milk" was to start with that footage.
