For weeks, I have stated the media was behaving like Meta Threads' PR machine, and We The Press published a piece illustrating how the media started hyping Threads before ever trying the app. They outline how the media went from hyping Threads to quickly losing interest. It's an eye-opening piece.

In the last five years I no longer assume an article is written by a journalist, only a human who writes well enough.

Great article, although what the author attributes to bias is the way the press works:
1) Companies like Twitter and Facebook have PR teams.
2) These teams pitch stories.
3) Journalists want stories that generate clicks.
4) "Meta launches Twitter killer" is a great headline and story.

This is what is killing journalism's credibility:

Journalists want stories that generate clicks.

"Elon Musk took over Twitter in October 2022"

Longest year ever?

[Edit] 2020, seriously.
