Some House Republicans will try to remove Kevin McCarthy this week. This will be entertaining.

How many rounds do you think the vote for the new Speaker will go this time?

Why don't they run one of their sham investigations on him, then expel his butt right out of Congress. Ethics committee not moving fast enough.

I think it's horrifying that a small group of Republicans will now try to remove a leader because he allowed a bipartisan bill to pass. This isn't governing - it's a shit show by trump supporters.

If these MAGA Republicans aren’t going to work for their constituents, the least they can do is bring back ‘Celebrity Death Match’.

Will there also be Democrats that will join them in efforts to remove him?

Lemme go get me some more popcorn.

The secondary and tertiary effects of their apparent dysfunction are intentional: erode and undermine democracy broadly. The 'shitshow' has a deeper and more lasting effect on us psychologically than we're aware. We're being set up for long-term trauma (among other). 'Ripple effect': understatement.

What's the thinking, here? Just burn everything down?

I mean, ok, maybe they remove him -- then what? It's not like they have somebody BETTER lined up, is it?

(and yes, I realize *better* is an incredibly relativistic term)

Less thinking than employing proven tactics and continuing to double down, I suspect. In that it's much more intentional than folks are willing to consider instead opting for mocking dismissal. Not that ultimate success is likely, yet we got to this point by underestimating their resolve and intent.
