Likewise, Bloomberg's presidential bid was not a failure. It was a success. His bid was aimed solely and specifically at Warren to get her out of the race. Even if she is considered liberal, she would have been harder to paint as a left wing socialist like Sanders.

The Republicans (Bloomberg was a Republican before becoming an Independent and then running as a Democrat-sound familiar?) wanted Bernie as the nominee, so they could paint Democrats as crazy socialist, marxist liberals.

Bloomberg's run was never serious. So when people cheered Warren for "owning" him at the debates, I laughed. He won almost as many delegates as she did, despite entering late and literally barely being a Democrat. I knew then that there was an alternative purpose.

Thank God, the Republicans had no good strategy for Joe Biden and Black people, specifically and especially Black women at the time. Their current strategy is to try to divide Black people in America, whether by heritage, skin tone or gender and/or orientation. To that, I can only say to my people:
