Democrats have been over performing in the only indicator that matters: Votes. They over performed in the midterms, in referenda, in special elections, and in state races across the country but especially in battleground states. National polls can’t capture that.

Their only purpose is to give TV pundits something to talk about and media outlets clickbait headlines. Ignore them. Follow The Hopium Chronicles on Substack for a more accurate picture of Democratic electoral performance.

There’s a lot of work to do and we need to ensure we do everything we can to defeat fascism at home and abroad. It can be demoralizing if you just pay attention to national polls. But political polling is largely broken. Ignore it.

Pay attention to the wins. It’s important to recognize the success we’re having. We ARE winning!

I am really going to enjoy embarrassing these "experts" in 2024. It's getting out of hand.

No, Dems are not OVERperforming.

We are PERFORMING, on the issues, in fundraising, on social media, in our ground game...while the pollsters, the pundits, and above all our sworn enemies consistently UNDERperform.

One major reason polls show Trump winning is pollsters still rely on randomly calling people, and older people (typically more conservative) are more likely to answer a phone call from a number they don't know than younger people are. Therefore, the demographics for the polls are skewed right.

The second post is downright Orwellian. It:

a) Asserts more young and non-white voters in a presidential election will hurt Democrats.

b) Presents the economy as a weakness of Biden's.

c) Argues higher turnout in a Presidential election will hurt Democrats.

a) and c) are complete reversals of conventional political wisdom and precedent.

b) is just a bald-faced lie- more precisely a repetition of the Republicans' lie, repeated constantly in hopes that if enough voters believe the economy is a weakness for Biden, it will become true.

Shame experts like Dave Wasserman aren't putting that much effort into trying to poll/convince Americans that the minority party shouldn't gerrymander and rig voting to secure a win they don't deserve.

Wow we went really quickly from "Dems only come out to vote every 4 years in Presidential elections" to "Dems only come out for small special elections". Does that even make sense?

Posts like this r nothing but doom & gloom. Ppl reading these might feel that there is no point in voting bc it won't count. The MSM will continue 2 both-sides it & hammer home that Biden is too old. Dems should b spreading the word abt all of Biden's policies/programs- let ppl know abt all the good

That's probably the idea. To make potential Dem voters feel there's no point and stay home.

Please do, Chris. Your data is what I trusted on and when I would tell others about it, they didn't believe me until all was said and done. I enjoyed seeing the naysayers fall quiet.

His RFK, Jr. take is particularly backwards. Worse, he's speaking of a criminal traitor fraud like a legitimate candidate.

We will bring it, and we will achieve a Dem trifecta, including a larger majority in the Senate and progress at the state level overall.

I am sorry to report that there must exist shame for there to be embarrassment. After what happened when he who will not be named was elected, I can attest that these folks have no shame & will feel nothing about being wrong. :(
