Schultz would have been a botsentinel disruptor … of the very best kind.
We all should be.

I had dinner with Charles Schultz (and his lovely wife Jean) a couple of times. He did not disappoint.

Go visit the Charles Schulz Museum and learn all about how he went out of his way to include Franklin to relate to more people. I love the Peanuts!

Agreed! I was in the SF company of the Charlie Brown musical for 2 yrs. I was lucky enough to spend time with Charles Schultz and I can say he was one of the nicest, kindest, most decent people . I ever met. A great and talented man, and very humble at ❤️

I was going to say something about the Thanksgiving special but it's been so long and I'm too lazy to google.

I had to look this story up. I didn't realize Schulz added Franklin's character at the request of a teacher and mother from California who, in the aftermath of Dr. King's assassination, wrote that she wanted to see more Black kids represented everywhere, including in the comics.

Yes but Adams was to scared to put his views in his strip because he knows he would have been fired years ago
