I think it will be a tight Christmas spending wise. What do you think, what are your plans?

We were not planning on spending a big amount. Not because we can't afford to but because if we need something we'll just buy it
Christmas has become a money racket.

That is true. We feel the same way.

I saw Amazon did a direct mail catalogue of toys to our house in Canada. I hadn’t seen a toy catalogue in many years. It was neat and kind of creepy.

Also, a sign of how much things have changed.

Miss the Sear Christmas Catalogues. Never used Amazon so we don't get anything from them. Usually tries to buy local which can be challenging in my area

No doubt, we have shopped local and it’s a refreshing experience tbh

Don't know how it is in your area but stores here don't seem very busy yet. But I do see a lot of Amazon boxes at the local post office. On line shopping is killing local business

Yes and no. I do shop online but I purchase from local places and pick it up. Local businesses will do themselves a favor by having an online presence. I stopped "shopping" years ago. I'm a buyer. I can browse before I leave the house, purchase it and go pick it up. Much easier.
