I was accused of encouraging anti-Christian hatred by reporting on Speaker Johnson's fundamentalism. But who's really pushing hate? Check out the new issue of my #OurLand newsletter:

I'm a baptized christian and Zen Buddhist & I don't hate you. Jesus & Buddha are great buds in Nirvana. 🥰 As my friend Valda would say, "Love & Light!" 💝⭐️

They really don’t need any outside help for this. Ppl come to their own conclusions based on what’s been falling out in experience at our feet.

Bill Donahue has been spewing garbage for decades. I debated him years ago on TV during the sex abuse crisis (he blamed gay priests) and it did not go well for him. He is the right wing Catholic version of Trump though he was name calling even before the Orange one. Ignore him.

LMFAO, anti Christian hate 😂🤣 they’re the most sensitive demographic on the planet. Is there anything that doesn’t hurt the pathetically weak psyche of a Christian??? Anything???

I have to confess that I have an anti-Christian knee jerk reaction and bias. I curb it by thinking of people like Jimmy Carter, Dan Rather, and other notable Christians who actually do behave in a true Christian manner.

Johnson falls into the prescriptive camp.

As far as I'm concerned, Bill Donahue and his Christian League are a Christian Fundamentalist version of the Taliban. We need to get religion out of politics and politics out of the pulpit. Churches that refuse to do so should lose their tax exemptions.

I'm very much in favor of removing tax exemption from churches, however large, who preach and get involved in politics. Whether or not I like what they say, I'm not up for paying for it via losses to the Treasury. It's a violation of the separation of powers.
