Head’s up friends.

If you currently have cantaloupe in your home and you live in Canada or America, please read this.

An echo would be appreciated.

Love,
April 💛

WOW! I have great timing. I bought a cantaloupe last week for the first time in … forever. I guess it wasn’t meant to be. 😦

Also, this is why we need to support small family farms instead of agribusiness.

It's so easy to transfer those germs into the edible inside when cutting open fruit like cantaloupes. BUT...it's just as easy to give them a thorough rinsing before cutting. Stay safe, everyone!

I bought fruit salad yesterdayCalled the family today and told them to throw out the cantaloupe…on the outside chance they won’t reveal where they came from

It’s difficult to throw food away, but I think it’s for the best.

I tossed one I had already cut and removed the rind from.

Better safe than sorry.

I always wash cantaloupe in soapy dishwater before cutting it. A food inspector told me to do that. He said it was one of the most likely culprits for a food borne illness.
