Easily the clumsiest grift attempt of 2023. Or the most shameless.

I know there is lots of stupid stuff on the internet, but this one is the winner for today.

She claims that a Scholastic book sparked her porn jones. But the record shows she was homeschooled. Cool story, Lanah.

What a collection of grifters, cranks, and
ne’er-do-wells. The right wingers claim to love freedom, but only the freedom to control everybody else’s damn life.

She’s also the PR person for a far right book group that wants to take scholastics place.

I was buying Harlequins in the grocery store in middle school cuz they were cheap and kinda funny (to me, then). I didn't develop a porn addiction or anything else for that matter. A scholastic book? Come on!

As a teen, I bought harlequins from the used book store for $.25 each. (Sold them all at a neighbour’s garage sale for $.50 each. - biggest seller they had). No porn addiction here but I’m an expert at spotting formulaic plots now.

The lengths they go to is mind boggling. This is how they choose to spend their time and resources. While their communities are very likely facing serious, even dire issues and calamities.

Kudos to the bloggers and journalists who bring us these stories, we should all try to support a few of them

Right wing scam artists. They're all just trying to profit off puritanical hysteria.

I hope she did a full disclosure to the school board but I’m sure she did not. Clear conflict of interest.

Porn left her suicidal? I think she has a plethora of other issues. Porn is the least of her worries.

From the article:
Lee said that SkyTree Book Fairs “was created in response to the work Kirk Cameron did throughout his public library tour in 2023.”

If this is linked to him, likely this woman is also full of it.
