Ask any queer or homo what it was like growing up in an atmosphere of at least intolerance, if not outright hatred, or even violence, and then ask yourself again whether it's a fucking choice #SpoilerAlert

One thing that makes me see total red in a flash is when being LGBTQ+ is called a lifestyle choice. It’s the fucking year 2024 almost. Right?!

When I was 3 my Mom introduced me to her ex-boyfriend from college & his partner...who was not only gay, but also black.

Granted, this was in the CA Bay Area.

But it was also 1967.

And there's photo proof this encounter happened.

I'm so grateful to Mom that she was not a bigot.

I have a dear friend who told me that she used to pray on the daily that she would become straight. It fucking broke my heart. She's one of my favorite people, and the idea that she ever thought she was less-than, or a sinner, or whatever the fuck she was being told..... it hurts my heart.

I ask the person what made them decide to be straight. That's a big decision in one's life, so they must remember all the thought that went into it.
