It's scary to see such clear evidence of my mom's cognitive decline. I was there when she was in rehab after the broken hip & visited her during PT/OT sessions. I also got her apt kitted out for her return & helped get her settled in. I shared this with 2 of my bros; one will visit her next weekend.

I just went through this with my mom for a year after she was diagnosed with aggressive lymphoma. It was like pieces of her cognition chipping off and drifting away. She tried hard to hide what was happening which made it tragic. Her estate is a mess and I'm trying to clear it up. Best of luck.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. My mom is honest about not remembering some things. I called her & reminded her that she wore that brace for weeks, but she still doesn't remember. I'm grateful that she's at least financially savvy & has her affairs in order, cuz I'm one of her executors.
