It's very interesting, having entered into that "Stop embarrassing me, Mom" phase with my daughter. She's 11-1/2 and in 6th grade (middle school). This a.m., she saw her good friend walking by us in carpool. I rolled down my window to say, "Hi, Lucy!" From the backseat: "Mooom, noooo! Puh-leeze!" 😆

Ah yes. I remember that stage. You must wear a cloak of invisibility for the duration and do not engage unless spoken to by child's friends. In HS I became the cool mom though because I just drove them all in my custom painted van without speaking.

Oh, boy, a cloak of invisibility! I wonder if Harry Potter has an extra? That would definitely come in handy! 😆 And I need to learn that drive-around-without-speaking thing. I'm not good at that at all!

It's just funny hitting that place in your child's life. I mean, we all know it'll come during puberty. But, when it does, it's like BAM! 😄
