Are we seeing the fall of Rupert Murdoch's Fox News Network?

Vote. Echo.

Regulators shut down Fox.

Fox files bankruptcy.

Hosts get fired.

Nothing will happen.

I wish I could figure out how to lodge a FCC complaint against Faux, their license should be revoked.

So many variables when capitalism is structured to protect sadists like Rupert.

It'll be a reorganization bankruptcy, not a winding up/liquidation bankruptcy.

I doubt anything will happen. Their cult has been so brainwashed that they'll keep making excuses for the network's behavior while continuing to watch.

Can we vote twice…Fox files bankruptcy, reorganizes…without any real damage, Dominion wins but gets little or nothing, Fox goes on as if nothing happened.

For as much as I wasn’t accountability, I think you’re right.

I hope for all of the above, but I'd settle for advertisers pulling everything, their hosts being forced to admit live on air for an entire month they knowingly lied and there was no election fraud and paying billions.

Sadly, no.
nothing will happen on the long run.
Carlson gets some push back, some sponsors leave, but others will come in becuas he generates cloud.

if Fox gets in trouble they will put hiim on the back burner and get someone worse to take over. so they can get carlon back eventually

The only way we see justice is when their money can’t buy extended life and he finally dies. Too bad Lachlan is just like Rupert, greedy money hoarding fecks.

Imagine thinking all that hoarded cash is going to be worth something when they eventually destroy society.

I'm a pessimist, sorry. These people always get away with it.

Hopefully, this time will be different but I'm not going to be holding my breath.

I'd say you're a realist. We've all seen billionaires & billion £/$ corporations pay insignificant (to them) fines and carry on worse than before.

Just wish they'd stop calling it "News." But, nothing will happen. It's too powerful. (Unfortunately)

Your poll reminded me of this. Murdoch is worth 17.5 billion USD - 1.6 B won't bankrupt him.
No viewers will hurt.
Murdoch makes a fortune from carriage fees. 5 minutes worth watching.
Oh, and I think he has a few sacrificial lambs lined up

I'll post a petition again for anyone wanting to sign it.

At best they’ll fire a few token people (not Hanity or Carlson though). Pay the fine or settle. Then continue business as usual, just like they are RIGHT NOW. It will be worth $1.6 billion to them if they can get a republican pres in the White House at the next election - then nothing will matter.

I was surprised wen they fired Bill O'Reilly. I doubt they will fire at that level again.

He will just declare FOX bankrupt and start it up under a new name. It's what all these moguls do to avoid their debts

The courts regularly quash bankruptcy as a means to avoid civil or criminal penalties. See the NRA and Alex Jones for examples.

My fear is that SCOTUS will side with Fox and say Fox's blatant lies were protected speech, Fox will play the victim to get more views and incite more violence, and nothing will change.

If they lose enough defamation suits, they may go bankrupt. I don't think they'll ever willingly alter course.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't think of that option, but you could be right. Besides Trump getting arrested, there's nothing else I want more than Fox to get shut down, but I know my wish is a long shot.
