I've chosen Handmaid's Tail to mark the impending Texas ruling.

Handmaid's a good read, but we're going with Beloved. There's a timeline poll - please respond and echo; thanks so much for participating! https://spoutible.com/thre...

Found this too late to vote, but I have not read any of these, so as far as I'm concerned they're all winners :D

I voted for The Hate U Give because it's the one I've never read, but they are all amazing and I'd happily re-read them all. Thank you for this.

Not sure why I cannot get the survey to respond but I vote any of the three on the bottom. I should read the handmaiden tale but I’m not sure I can stomach it right now !!

I’ve downloaded the ones I don’t own and will wait to be told which one we’re going with. I voted for The Hate U Give because it’s a new title to me.

Thanks for the opportunity to vote. This is a great list, but I've been needing some lighter fiction to counter the heaviness of the last few years. I'll leave it to those who decide to participate.

I just want you to know I support your efforts! I love books and poetry. Thank you for letting me follow.
I love Rimbaud, Sylvia Plath & Patti Smith. I see a lot of interest in things literary at Spoutible. Like!

Any one of those is fine with me, so I’ll just defer to whatever the majority chooses. Thank you for doing this.

I voted for The Hate U Give, because I haven’t read it; however, I’m happy which whatever we choose.

With respect to the others in this list, it's hard to not vote for Toni Morrison whenever her name appears.

I voted for it (and just checked out the audio from my library's app) because it's the only one of the 4 I haven't read yet, but the other three were all great, so I'm honestly fine with whatever we end up with.

One could only imagine the amount of 🔥 Toni Morrison would have for these folks trying to ban literature. She was never one to hold her tongue.

I started making a list of books that are being removed from TN schools last year. Some examples I saw:

The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman
Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech
Dragonwings by Lawrence Yep

I read The Complete Maus. The other two have been on my TBR list, but I haven't read them

Tough choice. Do I go for Beloved which is a classic must read, or Handmaid's Tale which seems almost prescient these days?
