I could be dead wrong, but my guess is that this bond overexposure during rate hikes isn't an issue for the more mainline banks, and that these "boutique's" will be able to raise plenty of cash that with treasuries help but not bailout, this will workout. Anyone know if I have a clue on this?

Seems to me SVB let their margins get too high and got caught with their pants down when they got called in. I've read a good thread on Twitter that explained that their business practices were shoddy at best.

Big banks are hedged. Problem is that a lot of small / midsize companies have uninsured deposits in banks they really don't understand...
