Listen y'all...there were a couple of people in the PWHL chat for the game that was trolling whining about fighting. Fighting is a sin in the PWHL and that's a game Misconduct, and a 1-game suspension. Also the IIHF (the world's governing body) bans fighting. IMHO fighting slows down the game.

The PWHL has had shoving matches sure but they were broken up by the Refs immediately. Also the second reason why I've been turned off by fighting in Hockey is the very real risk of injury/death to the players. People who still insist on wanting fights in hockey are ignoring CTE/Concussions.

Remember...the NFL nearly 14 years ago was sued by former players for the effects of the hits they faced. That's why all sports have a concussion protocol, so no player goes out and plays concussed and making things worse. People underestimate how much force a human can punch at their hardest.

Think about why CTE/Concussions are a thing in Boxing/MMA. There almost always will be hits to the head that are nasty. Also think about two hockey players going at it. It is possible for a person to get concussed by just one punch. There's why the PWHL, and the IIHF bans fighting.

The NHL must ban fighting and make it a game misconduct. Suspensions and fines would go a long way to clean up the goon behavior in the sport. I want ALL levels of hockey players to be safe, but play a physical, hard, clean game. We don't need it cheapened with fights, and goon behavior.
