I had a Border collie who preferred pink toys. Per this, she probably wasn't seeing pink, but she seemed to see something that read as "favorite color" to her.

Favorites: a fuzzy pink purse that said Princess, and a pink rope from the Barbie dog toy line.

Current dogs just fight over Lamb Cho
