There's only one plant question on my mind these days and it's directed to my six lovely orchids: "Why are those fungus gnats persisting?"

When I was growing wheatgrass for juicing, I had problems with common fluffy mildew and fungus gnats. I mixed a small amount of Borax (which is sodium borate) and a few drops of undiluted oregano oil with water in a spray bottle. I sprayed this regularly on the soil surface and poof no more problem.

Thank you! That's a suggestion I haven't heard before. I've been using diatomaceous earth and sticky traps and soapy water... no joy. I'll give this a try! 🙂
