I'm unfamiliar with having an app do this, but I've set up 2-factor authentication on other accounts so that even if someone guesses my password, they won't get the login code texted to my phone.

It was accepted on Duo Mobile - but a bit afraid to log out in case it's a false acceptance :) I don't have the 2 you mentioned, but use Duo Mobile so wondering if anyone has tested that out? It was a quick set up, and says 2FA enabled in settings in Spoutible

I just did did this. Super easy and super fast. On my phone, I went to photo and held it up to the QRcode. My phone then prompted me. Thanks!

Again, does google authenticate require using gmail as the email address?

Enabled. Super simple. It should theoretically work with any 2FA app, but can confirm it also works with VIP Access (Symantec).

Nice; enabled. (yubioath and authenticator agree on code)

Enhancement suggestion: Require TOTP code to disable TOTP (just like you need the current password to change the [password) to prevent unwanted removal on an unlocked screen.

Next: fido2? (one can hope/dream)

Anyways, happy user here

It should work with any two-factor authenticator app.

Hmm, I have Brave browser, (but with no "Shields" to ad-block on Spoutible) and when I get to the code entry window mine looks different, and while it lets me enter the code, returns me back to the beginning after doing so

Doesn't seem to work in Chrome (on macOS), I get a weird interface with 6 different boxes for each number and the code doesn't go through (from Google Auth)

Try this method: Download duo mobile.
One its setup, use it to scan. The scan will emit a code. Insert code. That's it. The duo is available for both O S ,and can be used for other Auth. Hope this helps
