A real desert oasis.

That’s where our hike took us Sunday in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. We never expected to find water, but CA has had so much rain this season that we actually had to cross a running stream 3 times. The usually desolate terrain was transformed into a botanical garden

Nice! I've been wanting to get back out there. Did you get back to Palm Canyon & see any of the Big Horn Sheep along the way?

We talked about it but ran out of time between the Anza-Borrego hike, seeing other wildflower areas, and also hiking Slot Canyon (not shown in pics). We'll have to make that a priority on the next visit. Would love to see them.

This brings back fantastic memories for me as well. I'm on the East Coast now, but I do miss the Anza-Borrego. Thank you so much for sharing these lovely photos!

Thanks for posting this little gem of a hike. Brought back great memories for me. It’s nice to know they have water.
