I'm a VietVet...was a door gunner. These AR15s have no business being on our streets

I would support a federal ban on ALL firearms. We've proven that our populace can't be trusted with guns. That includes cops too.

The only way to stop America’s gun insanity is to prevent civilians from purchasing, possessing, or carrying assault weapons of war and carrying handguns, concealed or in plain view. This will NEVER HAPPEN because of the gun Lobby & feckless Republicans. America is a GUN SICK SOCIETY.

I'd say yes, obviously, but it really depends on how they define "assault". Some previous definitions have been too narrow in the past and would not do much to get AR-15's off the street. There also needs to be a ban on extended mags for all types of guns. We need comprehensive legislation.

Absolutely. No civilian needs an assault/assault-style weapon.

I don’t understand option 2
What does “can/‘t” mean? Can or cannot?

There’s no reason the general public needs assault rifles.

I exchanged tweets with s/one on this topic. He thinks the 2nd amendment is explicitly about individual gun ownership. He has one to “protect his family” plus, “they’re just fun” . Really? Fun?

I strongly support a federal ban on assault weapons.
I'm going to keep tweeting about it regardless of how many mean replies I get from Republicans.
I'm going to Post about it and Spout about it.
This will save lives.

@cbouzy is the ability to see how many votes a poll has gotten in the works?

The Rs will never allow it. So a better option is to do like we do with cars. Require training, require insurance, laws to yank it in a second if misused, tax and regulate the crap out of the parts needed to make it work (ammo). Nothing in the constitution about ammo…😈
