VICTORY -- Florida will NOT try to collect menstrual data from high school student-athletes. The organization that was going to require the data be collected and sent to schools has backed down.

However: I doubt this fight is done. Vigilance, always.

Amazing news! We need a similar outcome for Texas demanding medical records for trans health care, even out of state

Looks like students will still need to provide the gender assigned to them at birth: https://wapo.st/3HWCxea

DeSantis gets worse and worse. Collecting menstrual data is creepy AF.

Further, Corporate America better wake up to what he did to Disney. He has attacked ESG too. And ESG is the standard in the EU and Singapore. We'll get left behind.

Anyone else think DeSantis will not perform well outside of Florida? Well, excluding hate filled maga states/districts.

I just don’t under why anyone would want to do this. Truly a strange thought process at work.

Yes but Republicans screamed about "HIPPO!" 😂😂 and didn't want to admit if they were vaccinated or not.

Imagine having to fight to let young girls have their own ovulation cycles.
A lot of very obsessed people involved with women's sports.

I work in a high school AD's office, not in FLA. However, if that became a rule, I'd quit my job.

I thought they were having an emergency meeting on this tomorrow. I'm glad they made this decision. it was a ridiculous invasion of privacy.

Are there no adults in Florida? I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that someone thought this was a viable option.

Glad it’s gone, but concerned about the next salvo.
